	Established in January 2002 in Staines, Middlesex, the company has seen a meteoric rise to the forefront of the masonry industry. At the helm is 38 year old, Managing Director, William Sutcliffe, a former Apprentice Bricklayer/Stonemason with Shepherd Construction of York. After the completion of his apprenticeship he continued his education with Shepherd and completed his H.N.C. He moved to London in 1986 and worked as a Forman Bricklayer for some of the largest Brickwork Contractors of the time before setting up Raven Building Services Ltd. Raven would trade for 8 years turning over £15 million in 2001 before the two partners decided to split and go separate ways. Landmark Brickwork was then established by Mr Sutcliffe with many of his loyal colleges from the previous company.



	We are a specialist Brickwork and Stonework Contractor operating in both the Commercial and House Building Sectors of the industry. We are a company who have achieved ISO9001 Quality Accreditation and have the U.K.A.S crown and tick placed proudly at the top of our stationery. Our Quality Assurance Registration Number is 4154/04. We are committed to apprenticeship training and have taken 7 first year apprentices this year in conjunction with the C.I.T.B. We take Health and Safety as a number one priority and have a full time Health and Safety Officer – Mr P MacSweeney who is trained to N.E.B.O.S.H standard. We have also just received our certificate from the British Safety Council. We are continuing with our training programs for C.S.C.S (Bricklayers and Hod Carriers) and S.M.S.T.S for our Forman Bricklayers and Supervisors. Our current 10 million a year turnover is distributed between main stream Construction and Volume House Building Contractors. M J Gleeson Group Plc, Jarvis, Y J Lovell, Bouygues UK, BDB Design and Construction, Castleoak Construction, Mowlem and Skanska are among our Construction Portfolio, with one of our latest contracts being the construction of a new £2 million supply and fix Catholic College of M J Gleeson in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. We have partnered with Gleeson for many years and enjoyed a first class relationship which has taken us through pain and gain with both sides negotiating the correct outcome on many contracts. We are proud of our non-confrontational approach and offer our advice at tender stage with regard to re-value engineering and cost savings. Volume House Builders such as Barratt North London, St James Group Ltd, Berkeley Homes, Linden Homes and Higgins are also a large proportion of our turnover. We have just received the “What House Gold Award” for Volume House Builder for our site on Ware Road, Hertfordshire for Barratt North London. We entered the 2004 Brick Awards for the first time this year and have been short listed in the category “Specialist Brickwork Contractor of the Year”. Our company has a strong relationship with current clients and this is cemented by the fact that 75% of all business can be attributed to repeat orders. We have also recruited and added to our team in 2003 to allow for our controlled rapid growth. A step which shows our intentions, and commitment to improving our company and our industry. As founder members of the Association of Brickwork Contractors, which was formed by the twelve leading Brickwork Contractors in the country, we are committed to improving: Quality of our product Health and Safety Employment of Workforce Training and Education The association was formed with the support of the Main Contractor Group, The Brick Development Association, The Better Brickwork Alliance and The Construction Industry Training Board. We are actively seeking to recruit more like minded contractors and suppliers to bolster and ultimately progress the organisation.
