Our skilled masons are drawn from all corners of the UK, including
regions famous for stonework including Bath, Yorkshire, Portland,
Cornwall and Aberdeenshire. Centuries-old skills, passed down through
generations, are combined with new technologies, and effective
management planning, to keep manual handling to a minimum.
We use
the best traditional raw materials – dry stone, Cornish slate,
Yorkshire ashlar and rubble, Scottish granite and polished blocks – to
stunning effect. For example, we have laid coursed ashlar on stone dust,
finishing by spinning with a grizzly or hand drag, or random rubble on a
sharp sand like Biddiford grit, brushed to enhance the aggregate.
We also undertake repairs and restoration projects on existing buildings.
